Israel Demands Timeline on Iranian Nuclear Talks – Begins Text Alert System

Israel Demands Timeline on Iranian Nuclear Talks – Begins Text Alert System

israeli_flag_1It was early July when we brought you a report on Iran test firing a series of ballistic missiles, including the long range Shabab 3 which is capable of striking Israel. Today emerging intelligence shared with Israel by the West indicates that Iran has moved several steps closer to developing a nuclear warhead that could be fitted on the Shahab-3 missiles, information which is in contrast to reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency.
In response, Israel has declared that international talks with Iran on it’s nuclear program had failed and has demanded a deadline of “just a few weeks” be handed down to Tehran to scrap it’s nuclear ambitions.
The Shahab-3 has a range of 1,000 miles and represents a weapon that could strike any and all parts of Israel, including the Dimona nuclear reactor in the southern Negev desert.
In a plea which seems to be falling on deaf ears from the international community, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a public warning that Tehran must not be allowed to continue it’s development of a nuclear bomb:
“Every threat against the home front is dwarfed by one threat. Iran cannot be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.”
In what appears to be an indicator that Israel is preparing for the worst, last week the army’s command sent out thousands of test text messages – testing a new system intended to alert people when rocket attacks had been launched on specific areas. The test continues this week when hundreds of thousands of people will receive text messages in Hebrew, Arabic, Russian and English.
